How to know God

Fill the Void

There is a void in everyone's life that needs to be filled. Drugs, Sex, Money and Popularity are all ways that are used everyday to fill that void. As many come to see, none of these things ever make one feel complete.

The Good News

THE PROBLEM

Romans 3:23- "For all have sinned and come short of the glory of God." Everyone makes mistakes, we all sin. Since we sin, we cannot reach a perfect God. You must realize that you are a sinner.

THE PENALTY

Romans 6:23- "For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord." Just as breaking the law deserves a punishment, our sin deserves to be punished. The cost of our sin is death.

THE SUBSTITUTE

Romans 5:8- "But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us." We deserved to die for our sins, but Christ died for us, even though we are still sinners. He substituted His life in place of ours.

THE LOVE

John 3:16- "For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life." He loved us so much that He sent His only Son to die for us.

THE ONLY WAY

Ephesians 2:8,9- "For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast." Good works can never get you into heaven, only faith in Jesus Christ. John 14:6- " I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me." The only way to heaven is faith in Christ alone.

THE HOW TO

Romans 10:9- " That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God has raised Him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. You have to believe that you're a sinner, and that Jesus Christ died for you, and was raised from the dead. Invite Him into your heart (life), ask Him to be your Lord and Savior. You need to trust in Him and try your best to live for Him. Welcome to the Family of God.

ASSURANCE

John 10:29- " And I give them eternal life; and they shall never perish, neither shall any man pluck them out of my hand." You can never lose your salvation.
